DUPM / CHAINE STARSAT B1 / OPTION / ORIG.Q: Linq-to-Sql multiple return statements for a single object I have a LINQ-to-SQL DBML class and I am attempting to pull multiple objects at once. I'm doing this to make it easier to unit test. For example, I have a object Car that has a Make property and a Model property. I need to query the database and return multiple Cars at once. Here is what I have so far: List GetCars() { List cars = new List(); using (DataContext db = new DataContext()) { var cars = from c in db.Cars where c.Make == "Honda" select c; foreach (Car c in cars) { cars.Add(c); } return cars; } } This works and returns me the expected number of Cars that have a Make of Honda. However, I'm not sure how to return a list of Cars to the caller. All my searches have lead me to the problem of needing to build the list before returning it, but I'm not sure how to go about that. I'm trying something like this: List GetCars() { List cars = new List(); using (DataContext db = new DataContext()) { cars = from c in db.Cars where c.Make == "Honda" select c; return cars; } } But this results in an error: The specified LINQ expression contains references to queries that
